1 These words spake Jesus, and lifted up his eyes to heaven, and said, Father, the hour is come; glorify thy Son, that thy Son also may glorify thee:

2 As thou hast given him power over all flesh, that he should give eternal life to as many as thou hast given him.

3 And this is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent.

4 I have glorified thee on the earth: I have finished the work which thou gavest me to do.

5 And now, O Father, glorify thou me with thine own self with the glory which I had with thee before the world was.

6 I have manifested thy name unto the men which thou gavest me out of the world: thine they were, and thou gavest them me; and they have kept thy word.

7 Now they have known that all things whatsoever thou hast given me are of thee.

8 For I have given unto them the words which thou gavest me; and they have received them, and have known surely that I came out from thee, and they have believed that thou didst send me.

9 I pray for them: I pray not for the world, but for them which thou hast given me; for they are thine.

10 And all mine are thine, and thine are mine; and I am glorified in them.

11 And now I am no more in the world, but these are in the world, and I come to thee. Holy Father, keep through thine own name those whom thou hast given me, that they may be one, as we are.

12 While I was with them in the world, I kept them in thy name: those that thou gavest me I have kept, and none of them is lost, but the son of perdition; that the scripture might be fulfilled.

13 And now come I to thee; and these things I speak in the world, that they might have my joy fulfilled in themselves.

14 I have given them thy word; and the world hath hated them, because they are not of the world, even as I am not of the world.

15 I pray not that thou shouldest take them out of the world, but that thou shouldest keep them from the evil.

16 They are not of the world, even as I am not of the world.

17 Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth.

18 As thou hast sent me into the world, even so have I also sent them into the world.

19 And for their sakes I sanctify myself, that they also might be sanctified through the truth.

20 Neither pray I for these alone, but for them also which shall believe on me through their word;

21 That they all may be one; as thou, Father, art in me, and I in thee, that they also may be one in us: that the world may believe that thou hast sent me.

22 And the glory which thou gavest me I have given them; that they may be one, even as we are one:

23 I in them, and thou in me, that they may be made perfect in one; and that the world may know that thou hast sent me, and hast loved them, as thou hast loved me.

24 Father, I will that they also, whom thou hast given me, be with me where I am; that they may behold my glory, which thou hast given me: for thou lovedst me before the foundation of the world.

25 O righteous Father, the world hath not known thee: but I have known thee, and these have known that thou hast sent me.

26 And I have declared unto them thy name, and will declare it: that the love wherewith thou hast loved me may be in them, and I in them.

Jesus handled the disciples with such care. He protected them. He defended them. He encouraged them. He fed them. He even washed their feet. Jesus may have been more of a servant than they were. I think this is because the whole time He was with them, He knew that they belonged to The Father-Abba. We Hebrews will be one when we begin to handle each other as if our brother/sister was God's fragile package-knowing that we will one day do like Jesus did in John 17 and give an account of how we handled each other. We would be careful how we speak to one another. We would make sure every Hebrew had what they needed. We would stop competing against each other, laughing at each other, judging each other. We would sincerely desire to do like Jesus and restore our whole Hebrew family to God's Love.

The Father sent Jesus to tell us/show us how much He wants us to know Him and be restored to Him. He wants our JOY to be FULL. He wants us to have HIS PEACE. He wants us to spend eternity with HIM. He wants us to BELIEVE (trust in, rely upon, depend on) HIM. Abba wants US to be HIS people and He wants to be our God.

K. Dugas

In chapter 17 Yeshua prays for his people to be one as He & God are one. The world's system has been the Hebrews god for way too long. The world hates us. We live in this world, but were never designed to be of this world. This world order system belongs to the son of perdition, our enemy, Satan. Hebrews cannot be one until we stop looking at ourselves through the world's lenses. Hebrews have been brainwashed & desensitized to feel nothing for one another. The world has controlled our thoughts of each other way too long. The history books told us we were nothing but slaves without a past or a future. The world lenses says we operate on cp time, untrustworthy, dishonest, foolish, the entertainment, crabs in a bucket, inferior, always the tail, poverty stricken, fatherless, motherless, homeless, drug addicts, drug dealers, physical abusers, sexual abusers, materialistic, malicious, back stabbers...We have the lynch theory that makes us murders physically & mentally. That has conformed our mouths to speak ill towards each other & even about ourselves. The cards are stacked against us in this world system & in our own flesh. But God...When true salvation coupled with an awakening of who we really are personally & collectively happens, dry bones will live. We have to go back to our one true God, Yahweh, to be sanctified through truth, THY WORD IS TRUTH. We can no longer be conformed, but transformed through a renewed mind. Practice makes perfect, so we must live out our transformation and speak well of each other, own businesses, do business with one another, be on time, love in action, not just with words, build up one another, & operate in the fruit of the spirit. We have to go back to God's ordination of the family, with the husband as leader under God. No more world order, but kingdom order.

My life's journey to fulfill purpose has been shaped & molded by God even when I didn't know who God was in my life. My life is purpose. I am just a vessel that God is using   to pull families out of a pit, to exhort them, to help awaken them. I thank God for choosing & using me for such a time as this.

S. Felton

The scripture that spoke to me was

John 17:4 “I have brought you Glory on earth by finishing the work you gave me to do”

Jesus is praying this to God the Father but I just think about my life and at the end of it I want this to be the words I can say. I want my whole life to bring Glory to God here on earth. I want to complete all the work He has assigned for me to do. I want everything that I do to be from Him and for Him. It’s pointless to live a whole life and you did nothing for the Kingdom. I don’t want to be that person, I want people to see God and glorify Him as the scripture says is Matthew 5:16. Not my will Lord but yours. Not my life Lord but yours.

I LOVE LOVE LOVE this chapter! It's one of my favorites in the book of John. Jesus's prayer is the most eloquent, sincere, and loving prayer in Scripture... Out of His heart, His mouth truly speaks☺️. His heart is for Love, Obedience, Unity, & Submission

*7 Ways Hebrews become ONE☝🏽☝🏽

1. Know Yahweh--Get Saved (Admit, Believe,  Confess)

2. Obey Yahweh--Learn His Word & DO IT

3. Serve Yahweh--Serve In Ministry & In Our Daily Lives (Our roles as Wives, Mothers, Workers, etc)

4. Love Yahweh--Receive His love & LOVE HIM BACK (Worship, Obedience, Prayer, Word)

5. Know Ourselves--Learn Yahweh's Purpose for Our Lives... What part of the Body of Christ are You?

6. Love Ourselves--Accept who God has made Us & STOP COMPARING OURSELVES TO OTHERS

7. Love One Another: Help One Another, Serve One Another, Share With One Another, Give To One Another, Support One Another's Vision, Encourage One Another, Work With One Another, Forgive One Another, Befriend One Another, Show Love in Word & Action to One Another

S. Joseph

In verses 6-19, as Jesus prayed for His disciples you can’t help but see the love through the relationship.  Because of the belief of His disciples, Jesus vouched for them to the Father. He had faith in them that they were His and His alone, willing vessels.  Not the gold and silver vessels reserved for special purposes, but the wooden vessels—  those intended to be used everyday.  They maybe were not as precious to others, but no doubt valuable to Jesus because of the ability of it to withstand.  Vessels of precious metals have their purposes and are too important, but they tend to lose value once they are dented.  Jesus has faith that these wooden vessels when dented would just add character and uniqueness,  therefore increasing its value. Within the disciples Jesus left a legacy, one that can be passed on from generation to generation like an heirloom, a wooden vessel.

I pray that as I read about a Father’s love and wishes for His children that I too continue to live and lead by example for my seed. That I leave a legacy of faith, endurance, and character that glorifies God and also wins souls for the Kingdom until Jesus’ return.

How can Hebrews come as one? By living in the truth John 17:7 says sanctify them by truth; your word is the truth. We can't just believe we have to trust to live the truth because trust is something you live. Once we trust we start to obey and bear fruit. As our love grow for Christ we start to keep his Commandments. John 15:17 say, this is my command: love each other. As we live in the truth God begins to show us his ways and and how we supposed to be United with one another and our love May abound with each other. Living in truth is the way Hebrews can come as one

L. Wright

Jesus set Himself apart for us, and now He has set us apart for Him.  The Father sent Him into the world, and now He sends us into the world.  We are people "under orders"

and we had better obey!  He is concerned that His people (Hebrews) experience a spiritual unity that is like the oneness of the Father and Son.

One of the things that most impresses the world is the way Hebrews love each other and live together in harmony.  If they see love and unity, they will believe that God is love.  If they see hatred and division they will reject our message of the gospel.  Our task as Hebrews is to bear witness to this lost world and share God's saving message.

I feel like the Lord has me to minister to Women  and giving my Oil  of Worship to the Lord in Praise Dancing.  Also, the  most important ministry ,of sharing the gospel to a lost world. The only Bible some people may ever read can be me or you Hebrew sister.

My greatest desire is to be able to say , "I have glorified thee on the earth; I have finished the work which though gavest me to do" (John 17:4)

K. Lockett

I believe the Hebrews can be one when we understand we as believers are one in Christ first.

We must commit ourselves to each other as believers we are to respect and love each other because the world will not.

God called us out of the world to be sanctified...to be set apart!

The world will divide Christian against Christian and as we the Hebrews come to our true identity we have to be mindful among ourselves also, (Hebrew to Hebrew )because that Willie Lynch lie is still so prevalent, it affected our generations so bad that some Hebrews are still believing that lie today it’s causing confusion and division among ourselves , we have to stop agreeing with that letter stand strong in UNITY and dispel the lies, come up out of the ashes and RISE... in my Hebrew journey I find it sometimes difficult to get our own people to believe who we are , I realize the change begins with me and you as we awaken we need to talk more with our brothers about the awakening.

Am I doing the work he called me to do?

v.15. commit ourselves to him so that the world may know him .

I’m growing ,and pressing to live a blameless life . It’s a daily commitment , I love the word and I look for open doors to talk about the love of Jesus, I am not always as bold as I should be for reasons I’m still praying about, as a believer I do not cover what I believe .

I do need to stop over analyzing what I say , ( just as I am now in this moment this is my heart) because God is not concerned with naysayers he just wants the world to know him , and have eternal life , I must trust his spirit that leads and guides me .

C. Taylor

There was so much to be gotten from this chapter!  But v 9 really touches me.  Jesus said "I pray for them.  I pray NOT for the world, but for them which thou hast given me, for they are thine."

Jesus was praying with so much fervent love and compassion here, for his own.  And Jesus did not stop praying for his own when he ascended up into heaven after completing his work here on earth.  He is NOW at the right hand of the father making intercession for his own to God the Father. Thank you Jesus, Yeshua, for your love and compassion for us and for praying for us to the Father, with whom you are one.  Make your Hebrews one for the glory of God and that the scriptures may be fulfilled.  Keep your Hebrews whom you have chosen from the evil one. Let your Hebrews look to you and your word to be saved and continually sanctified Lord, in Jesus' name.

When the Hebrews are unified, the world will know that Jesus was sent from God and that God loves his people as he loves his son. (Rev. 3:9)

We know that Jesus' prayers to the Father are answered because they are one. So all of these prayers for unity among God's people are good as done!  Not only is Jesus making intercession for God's people, according to Romans 8:27, "the Spirit intercedes for the saints according to the will of God."  If 2 or more come in agreement in Jesus' name as touching anything on earth it shall be done.  How much more when the Father, Son, and Spirit agree concerning unity among the Hebrews!  It doesn't ge much better than that!  All 3 persons of the Godhead agreeing as one on our behalf.  We will be one.  Thank you Lord!

First off the whole ch.17 just blessed me the fact that Jesus would share his heart prayer to the Father with us just melts my heart. He also shows how our prayers should look for the ones we love I like the way he said I'm not only praying for these but also all that will ever believe in me, this shows me how I should pray for my future descendants and future believers. I also like the way he says that he is not praying for the world but for those that are his this is deep! Reminds me of when he spoke about children of the devil and children of God. I also love the way he says he wants us to be where he is so as we echo here on earth I wanna be where you are he echos back i want you to be where I am. Thank you Jesus for wanting me in your presence! For who am I that you are mindful of me? (My heart is filled with adoration)

One of the ways i believe we as a people can unite is by having more compassion for each other too many times we are not tolerant of each other as a people so quick to judge the situation without a compassionate heart. We can start by being more supporting of each other as well in every area and if we have something that can help a sister or brother out don't withhold it, learning to share our time recources and knowledge with each other would really help, and also to put pride aside when we are on the receiving end.

I love the way he says he brought glory to the Father by doing what he was put on this earth to do this is my prayer for this year i have begun to tap into my calling for here on earth but i am not fully operating in it , I have determined in my heart to pursue my calling more this year and operate in it with excellence so keep me in prayer as i tap into the task God has called me to.

Isn't it amazing to have an intercessor as our savior Jesus!! Even knowing what was to come, he prayed for his disciples and those who believed in him (no greater love)!!!  Even in his suffering, he gave glory to God!!Not questioning his purpose!  One with God!! He came here on earth for one thing alone and that is to do the will of his Father!! Knowing what is ahead, he still prays for us!! He was not worried about himself!!  How selfless is that!! What a mighty God we serve!! That is what we need to unite as a people!! Take our selfishness and turn that into selflessness!! Pray for our people!! For the chains to be broken!! For dry bones to live!!! For salvation of our people!! Use me Lord to do your will!! Let your work been done in my life!!! FREEDOM FOR OUR PEOPLE!!!

My thoughts are...we can become (ONE) by his word, his spirit,& through him.We are(ONE) "BELIEVING" that there's ONLY ONE GOD, no other or greater.Verse 11 speaks...that they may be(ONE)as we are.1 Corinthians 9:13-13 also, says preach & live the gospel.Titus 3:4-5 says...We should live Holy & GOD in this world.& one of my favorites is in Genesis 1:1-31.I pray that I am doing what GOD called me to do.I ask that I be obedient to his word.I pray asking that I am doing what he called me to do.I ask my daddy to shape, equipe me & form me to do what he wants me to do.I let him know that I can't do it on my own.I need all of him & none of me.I ask that he enables me.At times,it can be easy, challenging & difficult.I say that to say this. When witnessing to a believer it's easy.Than there's times when it's difficult & challenging such as sharing GOD's truth hearing & knowing. When another bro.or sis.is blind. It's also, hurtful & painful cause those you want so bad to know God is stuggling. But as long as you continue to do what God has called you you will be an example. The spirit in you will be able to draw him/her closer to the Saviour of the universe.I was once there, but I Thank my daddy for salvation.Afar, from being perfect & the blood on the cross.I love you LORD-GOD.I have to give an account to GOD the gift of life & everything that was given...M.H.

Revelation ch 17- v11 And now I am no more in the world, but these are in the world, and I come to thee. Holy Father, keep through thine own name those whom thou hast given me, that they may be one, as we are.

What a great savior we have.  After he's gone he still wants to ensure we are taken care of. Because we were hand picked,  the chosen few, Jesus wants to us to still be kept by the Father. He wants us to be whole & one with the Father just as he & the Father are one.  For he knows if the chosen are kept & made whole, we too would be able to fulfill the Father's will.

Ms. J. Aubry

After reading John Chapter 17, I feel that the Hebrews, my people, God’s chosen people, can become one, by accepting Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior over their life and through love.

John 17:3 - “And this is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent.”

John 17:23 - “I in them, and thou in me, that they may be made perfect in one; and that the world may know that thou hast sent me, and hast loved them, as thou hast loved me.”

We have to love ❤️ our fellow Hebrew brothers and sisters! (Pray 🙏🏾  and ask God to take away that Willie Lynch mentality that has been embedded in our ancestors and passed down to us, thus breaking generational curses, in the Mighty Name of Jesus)

John 16:23 - And in that day ye shall ask me nothing. Verily, verily, I say unto you, Whatsoever ye shall ask the Father in my name, he will give it you.

We have to love each with agape love, I pray with a sincere heart to love my people unconditionally, Jesus showed us a perfect example by being the perfect example!!!!!!!

❤️☝🏾❤️☝🏾❤️

1 Corinthians 13:7

Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.

I love each and everyone y’all of my Hebrew sisters! 😘

Truly Jesus is AMAZING! When I became a Christian one of the first things I prayed for was for God to show me my purpose. Well God did that. And the purpose I thought I should have, wasn’t what God revealed to me. God gave me a purpose to reach the deaf thru sign language. At first I thought it was strange because I have vision lost. I thought my purpose would be to reach the blind but instead it wasn’t. As I prayed to God more & more as to why this purpose. He begin to reveal to me that the deaf community is an isolated community. There’s not many Christian interpreters out there giving the Gospel to the lost deaf community. God begin to minister to me that they too will not be exempt from judgement. My heart was so heavy because I thought about if I was in that situation. Just living life not knowing my sins separated  me from a Holy God. And not having anyone to offer me the Gospel I would be doomed! I begin to take up Sign Language class, I purchased several dvds, reading & learning about the deaf culture etc basically Just doing everything I had to do to learn this beautiful language. I was determined to learn ASL because I knew I had a mission to accomplish. I started so strong but something happened I was not so passionate about learning as when I first started. I went on a break, But why? I’m unsure. It’s as if my fire started to dim out. I started to question God is this really my purpose? Yet again he confirmed that indeed it is the purpose he has for my life. Even when I try to believe I should be doing something else God always confirmed to me that my purpose is to reach the deaf. A few months ago it was heavy on my heart  that I’m wasting my God given purpose. God revealed that it was fear that’s holding me back from fulfilling my purpose. Fear of rejection from the deaf. Being that most of the deaf that does attend church attends catholic churches. Fear because I’m coming with truth & I worried if I’ll be received by them. I thought they would think I’m crazy trying to tell them something different than what they were taught. We all know that fear was from the enemy. If I’m able to reach more people and lead them to Christ then that’s less people going to hell. I know my purpose is BIGGER than me and God’s will shall be done. I’m no longer walking in fear and I’m back on my assignment of truly walking in my purpose for 2018 and forward. I will reach the deaf & lead them to the kingdom in Jesus Name!

I believe that the Hebrews can become one by love...loving one another truly as our Lord commands us. We have to see each other through God's eyes and see the value and preciousness and see that we are divinely created in our own uniqueness.

Taking the scripture(Ephesians 4:2) to our hearts and living it truly.

I am NOT doing the work that the LORD has for me to do...the Lord revealed to me that I have been paralyzed and compassed about by fear...I have been using my job as a crutch and as an excuse as to why I cannot do what the Lord has commanded and created me to do...I was brought to the parable in Matthew 25:14-30

I was the servant with the one talent who buried it out of fear...The Lord revealed each of my gifting to me when I first got saved and throughout the years by fasting and prayer with each gifting and calling that He spoke to me a mountain of fear and doubt clung to me and instead of casting it down I allowed it to grow  and eventually smash me down...BUT GOD...

This is a season of complete TRUST and OBEDIENCE...yes I may have some fear but I refuse to allow it authority over me and causing me to be disobedient unto the Lord.

The Lord watches over His Word so that He may perform it and the Holy Spirit is in us which is God and Jesus and Jesus is the Word made flesh so His Word is alive in us and He will make sure that every good work He ordained for us shall be performed...

Humbled and convicted and restored I see hear and understand what He wants from me and for me...on the outside looking in it may appear crazy BUT His ways are NOT our ways...I know a major shift is happening in my life and it will test my faith and trust in the Lord tremendously but I am ready and fully confident that He has already seen us through this season...

A. Ledet

I brought glory to you here on earth by completing the work you gave me to do.

John 17:4 NLT

Disobedience takes away from God's glory. Everything that He calls us to do is all to bring glory to His name so when we don't do what He calls us to do (disobedience), His glory is not being revealed. God chose Jesus for a higher calling that would surely bring Him glory and save souls. All of the preaching and miracles that Jesus done was for the glory of God. Shedding His blood on that cross was to reveal God's glory and to save souls so that those same saved souls can live to bring God glory also. Jesus knew His purpose and calling. He knew it would lead Him to die on that cross to save us sinners but it was His Father's will. Jesus is the best example of walking in obedience. This pierced my heart because I know that I have times where I'm disobedient and trying to follow my own plans but His plans are much bigger than my plans, His thoughts are not our thoughts and His ways are higher than our ways (Isaiah 55:8). Walking in disobedience can also be why we go through the things that we go through. Like Jonah.... he was disobedient and ended up in the belly of a whale. Help us Father to walk in obedience and to answer Your call! 🙏🙌 K. Dural

Ch17 is so touching, to see Jesus pray for his disciples, and for US 😯, before he meets his father in heaven, to confess his love for us to his father. 😢

How can we be one? By living out the gospel in our everyday lives, application of God’s word, actively submitting our will for his, striving to follow the spirit and suppress the flesh, fellowship with believers, living in his love and sharing/expressing his love to the world (the lost and the saved).

Am I doing God’s work? Sometimes - with much effort, sometimes - reluctantly, and sometimes - not at all and I choose my way.

Lord, I thank you for your Son, for your forgiveness, and for your continued work in me🙌🏾!

K. Demouchet

As I was studying and meditating on the question, How can the Hebrews be united?  I saw knowing the truth verse 3...that they may know thee the only true God and Jesus Christ , in which his job was to glorify the Father. This brings unity. John 14:6  "I am the way, the truth, and the Life, no one comes to the Father except by me(Jesus). The source, the original state of being...glorified means to reveal, manifest...while Jesus was on earth that's what he did honor the Father.. took no glory for himself, so that we can do the same ... praise has return to Judah.. praising YAHWEH!! Wow!! 🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽 .  How can we be unified.. be saved, receive the truth, believe the word and tell others. I'm still mediating on this... knowing the truth brings order because ..Jesus knowing who He was ... didn't make him try to go above or be better because He they were the same.. so it will be with us (Hebrews) when we know who we are ..same as God and the Son are one so we will be.  Hope I explain it well.😊 that's why we need to be Woke.. my job.. I need to be about my Fathers business...and not be distracted! D. Cormier

It’s amazing to me how Jesus prayed the WHOLE chapter! Jesus showed how much he loves us by praying that we would be with him where God the Father would place him (John17:24) and overall how they are one!! Just as they are one, it shows the importance of us being one because in that is power and in that is Gods will ! As Hebrews we can become one by sticking together through truth (the word) through everything in life truly being our “brothers keeper” ! Jesus had obeyed all that God the Father wanted him to do on earth, walking in the full WILL that was given unto him on earth!

As Jesus wanted “THY WILL “to be done , we should long to feel the same , wanting whatever will God has for us to be done in our life’s! The love of God is so deep that it runs from the throne in Heaven , through Jesus in the flesh to dwell in us on earth!!! Thank you Lord 😭❤️

I believe that I am doing the work that God has called me to do ONLY by his wisdom & strength. However my prayer is that day by day God would lead me into EVERY work he has ordained for my life! I’m so unworthy, but I want to live out his perfect will just like Jesus did! I don’t want to miss anything! Help & lead me Lord in Jesus Name.

L. Flugence

in chapter 17 he not only showed me the way he expects me to love like him and love one another , but the one another stretches out towards the one who truly does things to hurt his children, I'm sharing this sisters because on my Job I'm being persecuted behind my back and being talked about like I'm doing things wrong but praise God ☝ that vengeance is the Lord and not mine and that I must pray for the ones who tries to hurt me and slander me with their mouth and show love to them not just in person but also when I'm not around them so in spite of what attacks comes against me I pray in Jesus name that I would truly live God scriptures and not be offended , but that I would Love them , because the word says loves covers a multitude if sin and I pray that they would be forgiven because they know not what they do to the most High child , with that being said I encourage you to love everyone,  but love the ones who does anything wrong to you in anyway above and beyond . and let's not just love them with our mouth but with our action I believe that this is how he wants oneness to be , it's the love that pulls us all together we can't refuse to love because it destroys what he wants to put together,  I love yall have a bless day.  C Alexander
