Recently, me and some of the widows, Mary and Rebecca, got together and did lunch and prayer.  After services we did nursing home ministry with other churches as well.  Then we saw the movie "Risen" together. We support one another in our time of loneliness.  JESUS is our husband now.  We plan on going horse back riding in the country.

"A father of the fatherless and a judge and protector of the widows is God in His holy habitation." Psalm 68:5 AMP

I was a widow...a young widow. It was completely unexpected and I was utterly unprepared. I was 30 years old and a mother of 4 sons; ages 3-8. I remember sitting in the car dealership one afternoon waiting on my van to be repaired, and worrying about the bill to accompany it when a beautiful white-haired woman started chatting with me in the waiting room. As God would have it, she was also a widow. We shared stories, and before we parted, she shared this promise in Psalm 68:5

"A father of the fatherless and a judge and of the widows is God in His holy habitation." She testified that God always made sure she was taken care of; especially things she couldn't do on her own. She reassured me that the cost to repair my van would not be a burden on me at all. She said, "God will handle it." And just as she said, He did. God is not a man that He should lie. He is a judge, protector, and defender of the widows. Hold on to this promise Woman of God. Trust Him.
